Today the vacationer has a crop of choices, with nearly all companies having a number of smart minibuses.

Indeed if you are staying in a Chamonix chalet then a transfer from Geneva to Chamonix can take just an hour, and cost only 25 Euros.

The shortness of transfer times, and the cheaper costs of Chamonix transfers, means that weekend skiing breaks have become more popular as vacationers decide to have less time off work, yet all the same want to savor their skiing trips.

Skiing weekends will remain popular as avid snowboarders are keen to have a ski break, but may not wish book a full week away from work in part due to the credit crunch.

Another benefit of lower taxi costs is that the cost of snowboarding vacations continues to drop.

Skiing hire is most certainly less than it used to be in the past, especially if you take the opportunity to pay on line prior to leaving for snowboarding.

And whilst the relative weakness of the sterling compared to the euro means that stuff is costlier in the skiing resort, if you’re enjoying a catered chalet then the bulk of your holiday is already paid for in pounds sterling before you arrive.
